Stingy people are always poor

Met jp for lunch just now...and we both (being the gossipy people we are) agreed on this rather interesting fact.

People who "want face" are usually neow and vice versa.

We also concluded that the two qualities (being neow, and wanting face) generally conflict with each other. Reason being...you would have already "lost face" by being stingy.

It's actually quite funny to observe stingy people. They scrimp and save on everything..harvest all their money in their bank account to only die rich. I mean, what's the point of all that money if you're not going to spend it?

Stinginess is a total killjoy. The scrooges and misers count every penny so that they can use the money saved for something better. But yet, because stinginess is in their nature, they will never buy anything that is "better".

So, for all their lives, they will be eating margarine instead of butter, wearing the discounted cheap and uncomfortable clothes and shoes instead of investing in something comfy, forcing themselves to eat not-nice food, use rickety furniture and so on.

I guess these people might just occasionally splurge on something really expensive (i.e. a gala wedding dinner, a car, and whatnot) but immediately go back to their penny pinching ways after. Which i think is really sad because they live a good part of their lives hoping for some better offer and miss the actual stuff that's going on at the moment.

Ah well...to each his own i guess.
