Ps and Qs

Went to il lido at sentosa for dinner over the weekend.

No occasion. XR just decided he wanted to check the place out.

But the next time XR says he wants to check the place out, I will need to conduct some background checks on the price range of the food first though.

Haha. That meal set us back by nearly $300 bucks. *faint* Lucky my bf is not neow (thank you dear). I hate neow men. :D

Anyway, we all had (with the exception of xr who decided he wanted to be full AND boring) very interesting and weird stuff to eat.

I had SEA URCHIN spaghetti with spicy zucchini. Adventurous?? I think so. I just learnt from my colleagues that if the poison from the urchin is not removed properly, I could have died.

Guess it was lucky that i didn't know about this when i ordered that day then.

Moving on, Jp had RABBIT LEGS confit.

And in case you were wondering what the hell is “confit”…

con·fit (k n-f , k? n.
1. Meat, such as duck, that has been salted and then cooked and preserved in its own fat.
2. A condiment made by cooking seasoned fruit or vegetables, usually to a jamlike consistency.

And also, if you were wondering…sea urchin does NOT taste good. No pun intended, but a sea urchin tastes just like it’s name. It taste like solidified sea.
Not exactly yummy. In fact, I donated my noodles to XR.

Oh, and jp’s rabbit legs tasted like chicken. Hmm.

XR had grain fed lamb..which, in my opinion, tasted the best…Maybe only by virtue that it was familiar.
Anyway, i decided that posh, upmarket food is not really for me. I hate having to watch my Ps and Qs over dinner and having to make sure i don't eat too much so i don't totally fill out my evening dress.
Yup. I guess jp is pretty much relieved to read this. :D
I am NOT high maintenance okay!
